Renovated in 2022, the cabin is comfy but you can expect creaky floors, original woodwork, and a few quirks that come with age. The cabin is authentic, and thoughtfully kept. You will have TV, wifi, central heat, air conditioning but expect to hear the water pump run and there is no dishwasher.

Unwind at this secluded retreat nestled quietly at the end of a wooded country road, along a rolling creek. The cabin was originally two cabins erected in the 1850s. In the 1970s, artist Jim Simon dismantled the log cabins and re-erected them on the Simon Family Farm. Red Fox Ridge was named for the red fox often spotted running the ridge overlooking the river. Three Pines is a rustic log cabin located on 17 acres with a forest view. Originally constructed in the 1790s by a Revolutionary War veteran, it was relocated to the present location in 2011, where it was reimagined with added modern conveniences. The cabin is great for history buffs and those looking for some peace and quiet in a unique setting. The cabin can be rented with our other listing, The Lodge at Three Pines, which provides an additional bedroom, bathroom, and hang out space.

We also have Mabel's Cabin or The Bell House around the corner, available for rent... Perfect for if you're traveling with extended family or friends and need more room, or if The Lawson Cabin is already booked.

Experience Augusta, KY in this charming 1800s log cabin just a block from the Ohio River! Walk to local pubs, shops, and wineries—plus a stop on the B-Line Bourbon Trail. Sleeps upstairs; not ideal for young kids or mobility concerns due to open stairs. Expect live music and occasional train noise. Pet- and motorcycle-friendly with hot tub and fire pit included (not refundable).
