We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

The cottage has two bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, a lounge dining area and kitchen, equipped to a high standard, with stripped pine floors and exposed beams. This cottage also has the benefit of being fully accessible for disabled visitors, with many extras ensuring wheelchair users or anyone with limited mobility an enjoyable stay. Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

Themed around the minerals mined nearby in days gone by; we offer the Gold Room; a one bed apartment.
