The Country Retreat at the historic Schmitz Family Farm is close to many attractions, ideal for couples, families, girls' weekends, extended stays, business travel, and is dog friendly. The location is very walkable and close to fishing, swimming, boating, biking, shops, pubs, farmers' market, homemade ice cream , and historical sites of interest. We live downstairs and often will be here if you have any needs or concerns, but are very conscious of your desire for privacy.

Welcome to our in-law suite apartment featuring a full eat-in kitchen, living room, queen bed in large bedroom, walk in closet and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Our beautiful two acre yard has many areas to relax in, including a hammock and fire pit for the evenings. Twenty mins. to Erin Hills and Holy Hill and a half hour to most downtown Milwaukee attractions, as well as the RNC activities taking place this summer. Lots of city tips and suggestions for our guests.

Location is key to an enjoyable getaway. The Hilburg House, a quaint 1912 updated farmhouse with two units, is located in a quiet neighborhood around the corner from several parks on Cedar Creek. A short 10-minute walk to town and you will find an abundance of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, local brew pubs, art museum, and cultural center. The park offers weekly music performances in summer and offers 4 dedicated pickleball courts with friendly drop-in sessions.
