Adjoined to the main house by a wall, you have your own private entrance & courtyard (Summer suntrap!). The living/kitchen areas are bright and airy with huge high beamed ceilings and the bedroom with kingsize bed has French doors opening onto your private courtyard, so you can unwind on a warm evening or enjoy a lazy breakfast in summer.

Damson Tree Cottage-Dog Friendly

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cozy cottage in Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is a quiet cottage near many places of historical interest, with great walks, and pubs within walking distance. The area is close to Matlock, Bakewell, and Chatsworth house. Check out our guidebook for a few places we have visited and places we would recommend although we are still exploring and adding to this list! Pets are very welcomed (up to 2 pets with fees)

Converted Dutch Barn, Wensley

Situated in the quiet village of Wensley is The Dutch Barn which probably boasts the best views across the dale towards Riber Castle in the Peak District National Park, walks from the doorstep too. It is a spacious but cosy, bright, open plan building which sleeps 2 and has a modern bathroom. It is situated near Matlock and just 7 miles from the lovely town of Bakewell and the famous Chatsworth house. It offers a tranquil stay with secure off road parking and garage facilities too.

A truly peaceful location to sit back & relax after exploring the wonderful Peak District & all it has to offer. Stunning sunsets, walks, bike rides straight from the door. The property is in a delightful and secluded position on the south facing side of Darley Hillside with views over the valley. The main living area is on the upper floor, accessed directly from the driveway and car-port via a hallway leading to the master bedroom and ensuite; living room with open log fire, dining area and internal balcony access to 2-storey atrium complete with spiral staircase; cloakroom; toilet, and kitchen with tree top external terrace.
