Everything here is made from Douglas Fir ply, including walls, floor and furniture. It'll feel very cosy here at night with the lamps lit, the wood fire and the large bed with feather pillows and wool blankets. The loo and bathroom are down 4 steps, please note no dividing door. Built in 1809 by the Duke of Atholl as accommodation for the manager of the grocery shop below, the property retains many original historic features, including sash windows and wooden shutters in the main room.

There are lots of walks from the property where you can explore our lovely village and local area or why not hike up one of Perthshire's many Munros.

Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

Ord’s Loft, situated in White Horse Close, is one of the most desirable and unique properties in Edinburgh’s old town. Positioned on the top floor of what was once the White Horse Coaching Inn, built by Laurence Ord in 1624, the loft is entered by the iconic steps seen in so many photos of Edinburgh. The outlook south over the courtyard is Holyrood Palace, Arthurs Seat, the Scottish Parliament and the Old Town while to the rear it looks up to Regent Road and Calton Hill.

The Lodge is the two storey annexe of Heath Park, one of the holiday homes of Beatrix Potter. It is within easy walking distance of the rail station and intercity bus stop. A parking space is adjacent to the house. The Lodge has been recently refurbished with new ensuite bathroom and kitchen and new furniture. It is accessed through the main gates of Heath Park which lead to a stone gateway and small hard landscaped area.
