Our home,a working sheep farm is nestled below Ireland's highest mountains on the famous Kerry Way trail in the heart of the McGillyCuddy Reeks.The original buildings date back to 1802 and were some of the last in Ireland to receive electricity due to their remote location in one of Ireland’s most unspoiled valleys on the edge of the Killarney National Park.While the towns of Kenmare & Killarney are an hour’s drive away,the Cottage is suited to those who are keen to truly get away from it all...

Ideal base for climbing McGuillycuddys Reeks, Carrauntoohil & Purple Mountain. Walk to Killarney National Park, Gap of Dunloe or The Kerry Way. Ideal base for visiting the Ring of Kerry, Reeks District, Dingle + Beara. Tranquil peaceful area but still just a half hour drive from the major towns.

Upstairs are two bright spacious bedrooms . Bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.

It’s set on its own private garden where you can truly enjoy the peace and quiet of this amazing place and is also an ideal base for discovering so much including the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Penninsula.

As the village is located in the foothills of MacGillycuddy's Reeks, a stone’s throw from the River Laune, our newly refurbished cottage has so much of what Kerry has to offer on its doorstep. There is something in this unique place for everyone. So, whether you are hiking or climbing or just standing still, Draíocht is an ideal base in which to begin and end your day.

Beautiful cottage overlooking Rossbeigh blueflag beach on the Wild Atlantic way and Dingle bay Glenbeigh Village 2miles. Five minute walk to beach. Pub , restaurant ,tennis court ,and children playground Supermarket ,restaurant, bakery in Glenbeigh village Ideally suited to walking and hiking . Caragh lake 6miles for trout and salmon fishing . A 15 / 20 minute drive from Killarney on route to the famous Ring of Kerry in the middle of the Reeks District voted in the top 5 destinations to visit in the Rough Guide. 7 minutes to Killorglin the home of Puck Fair the oldest festival in Ireland. This cottage is set at the foot of the McGillycuddy Reeks with a view of Carrantuohill. Perfect for hiking, walking and cycling... The space sleeps 2 people. The heating is electric.

We are located in a Dark Sky Reserve and the stars at night are something else ! April to May is a beautiful time in the garden
