Just a few steps out the front door is a glorious 7-mile walking/bike trail that meanders from the Monterey Bay Aquarium around the point to the expansive Asilomar Beach, a favorite spot for walking in the soft sand and enjoying gorgeous sunsets. Experience the Monterey Peninsula like a local in the owner-hosted and remodeled Willis House in the heart of Pacific Grove. Downtown PG is a short stroll and Lovers Point Beach & Park is just beyond that. A little farther afield are Asilomar State Beach, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the towns of Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. Day-trippers can enjoy the Big Sur coast, year-round whale watching, and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. (NOTE: Children ages 10+ welcome.)
