The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. A beautiful, historic stone cottage in the heart of the gold fields. simply modernised to maintain an old world ambience and eclectically furnished with family heirloom furniture and special interest collections. It's the way we like it and I'm sure our guests will too. Come for a relaxing weekend, winter or summer, enjoying the surrounding nature and wildlife. The centre of town, including the Castlemaine train station and a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and cultural attractions, is just a 15-minute walk.
