Historic & charming Blidworth Dale House West Wing

Blidworth Dale House, a classic Nottinghamshire country house, lies between Nottingham and Mansfield near the ancient village of Blidworth in heart of Sherwood Forest. The house is surrounded by mature parkland and is situated in the middle of a working farm. The airbnb listing is for the wing which is the original 1700’s farmhouse on the left hand side of the picture with a red tiled facade. The Dale is conveniently situated to getting in to Nottingham, Mansfield or Southwell.

The Laurels - a peaceful spot in village location

The Laurels offers one storey comfortable accommodation for young families; adults; and those wanting to explore the surrounding area. The lounge/dining room with patio doors overlooks the large, south facing, enclosed garden. As grandparents to a number of young children, we have toys and games for your use. 1 cot and 2 cotbeds are available by prior arrangement for young families and will easily fit as extras in the bedrooms. A cabin on wheels, made from locally sourced oak and larch. Set within a meadow, surrounded by woodland in Sherwood Forest. Shower with underfloor heating in a shepherd hut. Compost toilets. Outdoor pot washing facilities and dining area. A perfect off grid stay. Our smallholding has sheep, goats and chickens which graze often in the meadow depending on the season. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines are all within walking/cycle distance.

Wrangler’s Den has been inspired by owners Charlie and Caroline after many years living in the Rocky Mountains. A stay in this cedar cabin offers a taste of a rustic country lifestyle amidst Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest. Enjoy uninterrupted views over fields and forest, country walks and relaxation next to the log burner. Two bedrooms offer comfortable beds for four guests and the cabin benefits from a fully equipped kitchen.

Sleepover with Miniature horse Basil

Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.
