Gag Barn Nr Thorpe (Peak District/Dovedale)

Based in the Peak District National Park, with an abundance of exciting cycle routes and picturesque walks. The barn is spacious, easily sleeping 6, with 2 double bedrooms and 1 set of bunks. Ashbourne (5miles), is known as the"Gateway to Dovedale", and is a delightful market town. Places of interest include, Carsington Water, Alton Towers, Dovedale Stepping Stones and Tissington village.

The Tower

The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.
