Ásinn-Brennistaðir 4, 701 Egilsstaðir

Ásinn-Brennistaðir 4 is 90m2 house for a group of up to 7 people +crib (year 2025). The house is located in untoucted nature next to a field on Brennistaðir farm, about 20 km from Egilsstaðir in the direction to Borgarfjörður eystri. The farm is sheep farm. We live about 400 m distance from Ásinn. Fully equipped kitchen, small sitting room, spacious bathroom (washing machine and dryer), 4 bedrooms. Good looking view, cairns, bird live, streams, family-friendly environment in peaceful nature.

Surrounded by birds and open landscapes, with views over pond and the beautiful Dyrfjöll mountains. A great base for exploring East Iceland, including Borgarfjörður Eystri with hiking trails and puffins in summer. In winter, you may see the Northern Lights right outside. Peaceful getaway in nature.

Berunes Woodshop-Historic Tiny House by the Fjord

Once our grandfathers´s woodship, now a cozy retreat for travellers seeing something truly different. It´s a character-filled Tiny House, set within the historic Berunes farmstead, adjacent to the original farmhouse, opposite the community church and graveyard. Your nearest neighbor is one of East Iceland´s most celebrated dining experiencve. The Berunes Restaurant (open June - August) serves and ever-changing 4-course dinner menu, paired with Beljandi craft beer and fine wines.

Fjörður 1

The house, „Fjörður" was build in 1906 and has been in the same familiy since then. Fjörður, which is appr. 140 m2, is on 2 floors and comes with a big garden. The main floor consists of 2 livingrooms (one of them has a 120 cm bed), fully equipped kitchen with a dinner table, 1 bathroom with a shower, and a loundry room. The upper floor consists of 4 bedrooms, each with 2 beds, there is also 2 extra mattresses. Please note the house is very old. The stair is very steep.

Beautiful, warm and cosy cottage for 2 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

Ásgarður - A cozy home by the seaside

Summer 2026: As our house is old we are constantly doing maintenance. This summer the maintenance has affected the garden so we are sorry to inform that it is not in perfect shape. Our home is old and quite small but very cozy. It is located by the seaside in our small village with a view over the fjord; the sea and the mountains. Please note our village is a bit out of the way of the Ring Road.

Our cabin is small but very comfortable. It has a lot to offer, peaceful surroundings, surrounded by greenery and tall trees, if you don't like birdsong then this is not the place for you. Located only about 5 to 10 minutes from the town center by car.
