Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Private Modern Treehouse on Highland Farm

Designed as a nod to my heritage, Skoghus ('forest house' in Norwegian) was crafted for relaxation, and reconnecting with nature. The treehouse sits in the centre of a Scottish Highland cattle farm, with pasture and forest in all directions. From the yard, you'll be able to observe and engage with the farm's cattle when they come by. Inside, you can disconnect and unwind, with luxury amenities. The dwelling is completely unique and provides a very special feeling while living in the trees.

Located in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood, you'll find a lot of independent stores and restaurants alongside older mom-and-pop businesses. Nearby is the brewery district with over a dozen microbreweries. Hastings Park, the Pacific National Exhibition and T&T Supermarket are all within walking distance. Enjoy easy access to both Highway 1 and downtown. In house laundry is NOT available for guests, there is a coin laundromat at the corners of East 1st. Av and Renfrew a 10 minute walk.

Introducing Moonshot the Landyacht, the Airstream at Wildernest! A perfect getaway just a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver on the forested slopes of Bowen Island. This 1971 Airstream has been totally rebuilt into a super comfortable and memorable escape. It's a great couple's vacation, completely private on its own acre of land. There's a separate indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two.

Step back in time with a stay at our newly renovated historic beachfront property on the Sunshine Coast. Grantham House was once a bustling community hub as the local post office and general store, and beginning in the 1920's, a favoured summer stop of the Union Steamships Company. This unique studio suite, named after the Lady Cecilia steamship that once docked here, offers a serene escape with breathtaking views of Keats Island and oceanfront access.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.

Seaview Cottage, Cates Hill, Bowen Island

Seaview Cottage is cozy and romantic, perfect for a getaway weekend or longer. Located on Cates Hill, Bowen Island, it has a fabulous view of Snug Cove, Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains. The neighbourhood is generally quiet and peaceful and there is a nice outdoor space for you to sit and enjoy. Please note that we do not allow any pets in Seaview Cottage. Suite in Snow White's cottage

Private suite in "Snow white's cottage", cozy and comfortable with a queen size bed. Ideal location in Deep Cove close to parks, coffee shops and hiking trails. A ten minute walk to Honey Doughnuts. (We'll have two Honey donuts waiting for you if you like!) There's a galley style kitchenette for simple meal preparation. We provide a welcome basket with coffee, tea, granola bars and instant oatmeal.
