Welcome to this newly renovated suite located just off the Mt. Baker Hwy. This property lets you "have it all" with close proximity to Bellingham (~7 min to Barkley Village) while providing a wilderness escape with modern amenities, outdoor seating and cooking areas, a treehouse, nature trails, and a beautiful forest canopy. Enjoy and relax in the outdoors without sacrificing the comfort of home. Need to sleep more than 2? You can rent another suite just a few steps away and sleep 2 more.

Cottage at Sundara West-Heated Pool open all year

Enjoy a view of Mt Baker in the quiet, beautiful countryside. There are 3 bdrms, kitchen, dining & living areas, covered porch with gas grill , fire pit, & private hot tub. Country sounds abound —coyotes, cows and roosters (right next door). The pool & another hot tub are about 150' away & ALSO AVAILABLE TO OTHER GUESTS ON THE PROPERTY. Reserve the times you want. $25 per day per pet fee. NO ADULT PARTIES AND NO MORE THAN 7 GUESTS at any time during the stay without a charge of $15 per guest.

The Forest Hermitage of Turtle Haven Sanctuary

The Forest Hermitage is part of Turtle Haven Sanctuary nearby and has a specific purpose of providing inspiration and retreat for artists, writers, naturalists, and those drawn to stillness and inner contemplation, in need of rest, and renewal. The two-story structure is located in a forest grove on several wooded acres, across the road from a view of the Nooksack River and valley. This Pacific Northwest corner is renowned for its spawning salmon in season, abundant eagles, and other wildlife.

Rustic Retreat

Quiet, private, secluded home on 25 acres of forested land. The home was built from logs milled on site. Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

This Dairy Barn built in 1912 is completely remolded, beautiful wood work with 13 stairs access to the top 1000 sq.ft. floor loft. Drive around the back where parking is provided next to stair entrance. Full kitchen and bathroom, one queen bed, one fold out Futon couch, gas heat stand alone fireplace. Very private. This is truly a unique cabin. Designed by architect David Neiman & featured in the book "Log Houses of the World," it combines Japanese style features & NW log-frame construction to create a truly unique experience. Included in the rental is use of the 13+ acre wooded property, including access to the middle fork of the Nooksack River. The cabin is close to the year-round outdoor recreational opportunities that the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest provides.

Magical Treehouse: 3BR Getaway Experience

Steal away to the enchanted treehouse of your childhood dreams. With floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of pristine Pacific Northwest wilderness, this A-frame sanctuary offers the perfect combination of quiet seclusion and modern convenience. Note: the property features a significant (about 60) stair steps to climb. As a result, it may be more challenging to enjoy for those experiencing ambulatory limitations.
