Suites can be booked individually or together. We are 2km from both Providence & Brahman Hills, 1km from The Gallery, & 5km from both Fordoun and Netherwood. Bates Residence @ Fordoun

The original Manor House of Fordoun can be yours for your next family vacation or school reunion. A beautiful, private home filled with many spaces to relax and unwind. A warm country kitchen and large dining spaces allow for long and slow lunches and great conversation. Situated on Fordoun Hotel estate, the house, even though independent from the hotel, offers access to magnificent hikes, scenic runs and mountain bike rides with great views of the Drakensberg. A mere 1 ½ hour drive from Durban and 4½ hours from Johannesburg, this recently renovated home has a pool and is the perfect holiday home to experience life in beautiful surroundings!

Located just minutes from hiking trails, the Midmar Dam and local shops, this cabin is ideal for romantic getaways, working retreats, or small family adventures.

Wild Hare: Nguni self-catering - Lions River area

Nguni Cottage is one of 4 self-catering cottages. Ideally situated on the Midlands Meander between the N3 and Piggly Wiggly as the crow flies. Decorated in earthy colours, spacious, cotton linen, fire place, dstv, large fridge freezer, gas stove. The cottage has a single en suite shower bathroom and bedroom with open plan living room / kitchen area, perfect for a couple. (Sleeper couch &/or floor mattress is available for children). Weber braai and verandah furniture.

The Cottages - The Old Mushroom Farm

As the name suggests, the farm was once used to grow mushrooms, but has since been renovated into modern accommodation and is now an attractive destination for the whole family- including pets! There is plenty to do and see on the farm with multiple shops, restaurants, kids play area, food garden and more also on the property. Work out at the gym, grab a morning coffee, pick up some fresh bread, and forage for your lunch- all a short walk from where you’ll be staying.

Lake Lintrose Self Catering Cottage No 1

Lake Lintrose is s self catering cottage that sleeps eight guests. Cottage one has 3 queen size beds, one room en suite and a room with 2 single beds. There is another shower and toilet with a further single toilet and hand basin. The lounge and kitchen area is open plan with a fireplace. There is also an outdoor verandah with seating and a fireplace to braai. The cottages overlook the beautiful Springrove dam and the magnificent Drakensberg mountains.

Beacon Vlei Guest Farm - Otter cottage

Beacon Vlei is situated on the Midlands Meander in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands South Africa. We have 5 self catering cottages which are all fully equipped with satellite TV, fireplaces for winter, fully equipped kitchens, en suite bedrooms and magnificent views over our 23 hectare private dam which is well stocked with large mouth Bass. The perfect spot for the avid Bass fisherman. We are a family friendly establishment and we are pet friendly.
