Matters Schoolhouse in Decorah, Iowa

Relax in this 2 story renovated schoolhouse. Basically new build with all the charm and many historical facts of the schoolhouse. Full kitchen includes everything needed for cooking. Expandable dining table can seat 1O and open concept dining, living and kitchen. It has a king bedroom on the upper level with full bath. Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

The second bedroom / bath are located on the first floor. The unfinished basement offers an area to workout on the elliptical machine and weight bench. Relax during the evening hours on the back patio, gathered around the fire pit. TV's are located in the living room, basement, and kitchen.
