One of the original Spanish land grants in the valley, what is now the Baca National Wildlife Refuge is an important sanctuary for numerous species of birds, elk, and other wildlife!

This is a place with tons of wildlife, elk, antelope, birds of pray and the open valley is a lovely place to walk. It is also steeped in history of the valley and the rancher who settled here
