Visit Beylerbey's little port area together with the Palace which is a short walk away. It's a miniature, quieter Ortakoy but without as many people and market stalls. Very picturesque and you get a feel of what Istanbul might have been like when the population was much lower. Several little cafes and restaurants to choose from all of them pretty good. Usually the one with the most people is the best one but don't be afraid to try anywhere. The view of the Bosphorus from the mosque is lovely. Easiest way to get here is from Uskudar by taxi or bus.
