Oakwood Cemetery has been around for over 150 years, and is home to over 100 acres of beautiful landscape right adjacent to the historic Oakwood neighborhood. Nice for a stroll or to explore if you're in the mood for a peaceful escape.

Historic Cemetery in our neighborhood where many Confederate soldiers are buried. Also, famed NC State Coach, Jim Valvano, Senator Jesse Helms and other notoriety / dignitaries.
