Slightly outside the immediate neighborhood, but my favorite restaurant to take people for a quintessentially Austin meal. Everything is done just right here IMO. Favorite things: Thunder Rosa Taco, Margaritas, Short-Rib Salpicon, Shauna-Wanna Taco Salad. Calabasas, Huevos Rancheros, Migas…the list goes on

The BEST Tex-Mex in Austin. The creative foodies behind this establishment make everything from scratch. The margaritas are the best. The food is delightful and fresh. Say hi to Joel the owner and tell him Kerthy sent you. I am not a huge Tex-mex person, but I always make a stop at El Dorado.
