Mt Buller isn't just for Winter, this has some the most stunning views during summer and totally worth the steep climb.

Of course Buller is great for skiing but outside of Winter there are some lovely walks. A very pretty and easy one is summit nature walk. It is a 4.1 km return hike. Take some good bread purchased at the Alpine Patisserie and cheese (Mark's IGA have a very good selection) and have a picnic on the summit. Note this is an alpine area so pack clothing accordingly and also note that dogs are not allowed in the national park unless they owners have a permit.
