Every saturday morning from 08.00h till 15.00h their is a big market at the theaterplein. Nice to hang around searching for ingredients or to eat something at the foodtrucks.

During the weekend you can do your grocery shopping at the market that takes place at Theaterplein. It is near the shopping district of Meir and Rubenshuis museum. On Saturday the market has a more international flavor and you’ll find delicacies from all over the world. On Sunday you can go to the ‘Little Birds’ market, where they used to sell a lot of birds (alive) and poultry (quite dead). It is held each Saturday 7:00 – 16:00 and Sunday 7:00 – 14:00.
