Just a few miles down the road! One of the best waterfall hikes in Shenandoah National Park. It's an out-and-back hike with moderate terrain. Although this hike can be steep in sections, the trail is well maintained and OK for small children. There is a great swimming hole once you get to the falls. It can be very busy in the peak seasons of spring and fall; get there early for a parking space!

Come see this ole beauty and swim in her cool mountain water. For a special treat visit her on an icy winter day to see a crystallized cascade.

It’s a bit of a drive, but if you’re looking for an all day hike with some refreshment at the end, this one is a winner. The trail is beautiful and runs along the river. At the end is a large waterfall and a spot to swim. Worth the drive.
