Built in 1808- 1812 dedicated to Saint Marks the Evangelist , modeled on the lines of St Paul's Cathedral of London , the new building in 1902 , ravaged by fire in 1923 and restored in 1929 , different architectural styles has been adopted during successive restoration and reconstruction work has imposing Roman arches and Central Domes with intricate wooden interior works , the famous pipe organ was installed in 1929 , the metal pipes build in England and the other parts build in Teak in Bangalore , fell into disrepair for many years and which was restored by experts from Switzerland and now is a major draw for the musicians
