Shirley has a special gift of hospitality! Her beautiful home is clean, well-cared for, and conveniently located to I-77. It was the half-way point between Hilton Head and our Ohio home. We stayed in a second floor room with a comfortable queen bed and private attached bath. The large loft area adjacent to the bedroom provided cozy seating with a large TV and plenty of books and magazines for entertainment. Shirley was very responsive and gave clear instructions. We enjoyed chatting with her and learning the history of her family’s estate. Next time we stay at the Homestead, we hope to have time to spend on the well-appointed deck overlooking the lovely vista and enjoying the swing in the yard. We were truly blessed to find this gem!

Such a beautiful home and a super host! We love staying with Shirley, always accommodating, friendly and genuinely cares about the comfort of her guests. House is extremely clean, just couldn’t ask for anything more. We always hate to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit.
