I have fond memories from growing up of strangers showing up unexpected on my family's doorstep and the excitement that would ensue as my mom set up extra beds around the house, cooked up a storm, and made our guests feel like family in no time. She taught me that it's possible to feel at home no matter how far you've traveled, and that is a feeling I seek both to experience and share through homestay.
